The Leonardo da Vinci airport inaugurates the new welcoming service at international arrivals, dedicated to travellers landing in Rome.
Qualified hostesses and stewards welcome visitors immediately after leaving the customs area, providing them, in their own language, with all the information on fares and public transport services available, such as taxis and trains, to reach the Capital.
The service runs seven days a week, from 7.30 to 22.00, and was promoted by the Councilor for Tourism, Fashion, Major Events and Sport, Alessandro Onorato, in collaboration with Zètema and AdR. It contributes to presenting the new features of Rome: modern, dynamic, safe and efficient.
The initiative, a Welcome in Rome, is another valuable service of the many that, for five consecutive years, have made the Roman airport Europe’s most popular airport among passengers, according to the ranking by ACI - Airports Council International.
The Roma Capitale assistance and information service joins the fight against illegal activities and offences of irregular taxi drivers implemented in recent months by the Prefecture of Rome. The initiative has led to substantial growth in regular taxi rides in the early part of the year compared to the pre-pandemic period, according to ADR.
