From August 5, 2025, residents and tourists can once again enjoy the Largo dei Lombardi area, a space of great historical value that has been completely redeveloped and pedestrianized. The area's inauguration was attended by the Mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri, the President of Municipio I, Lorenza Bonaccorsi, Leduina Petrone, Institutional Affairs Director of Edizione, and Mauro Montagner, CEO of Dekus.
The redevelopment involved the monumental archway, which serves as a natural connecting gallery between the capital's main shopping street and the Mausoleum area, to facilitate pedestrian access to Piazza Augusto Imperatore, enhancing the area both in terms of decor and usability.
This was a complex project, the result of a fruitful collaboration between the public and private sectors, with significant contributions from the investment company Edizione Spa, the Special Superintendency for Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape, the Capitoline Superintendency for Cultural Heritage, the 1st Municipality, and the Rome Capital City Council's Departments for Mobility and Public Works.
