From October 2 to 11, 2026, the Tevere Day returns with over 130 events spread along more than 80 kilometers, from Nazzano and Farfa to Ostia and Fiumicino, including sports, environment, culture, archaeology, navigation, entertainment, and active citizenship.
The event, now in its eighth edition, was born with the aim of restoring the Tiber to a central role in the life of the Capital, and today it has become a grassroots movement bringing together over 200 associations, organizations, federations, and companies. Over the years, the project has steadily expanded and developed to ensure the river is increasingly accessible, experienced, and recognized as a natural infrastructure, a public space, a place of culture, and urban regeneration. The main partners of the eighth edition include: Acea, BIAE - Banca Italiana per l'Ambiente e per l'Energia, Bulgari, Enel, and Italian Urban Games. The Istituto per il Credito Sportivo e Culturale is the event's institutional partner. These partners are joined by Lijoi, Litografia Bruni, LM solutions, and Pizza & Mortazza.
The 2026 edition combines initiatives on the banks and on the water with a sport and cultural program that includes River Parks, iconic sites like Tiber Island, bookstores, libraries, museums, and other city venues. The calendar includes group events such as walks, visits, workshops, meetings, sports demonstrations, sailing experiences, and site maintenance.
Since its fifth edition, Tevere Day has been included, due to popular participation, among the Major Events of the City of Rome, a confirmation of the project's value and the ongoing dialogue with institutions, oriented toward a shared vision of sustainability.
