Two into one

The enjoyable comedy Two into one by the English author Ray Cooney, is staged at the Quirino Theater 30 years after its first performance in 1986, directed by Pietro Garinei.

The scenography, inspired by the original one signed by the company Garinei & Giovannini, presents the famous swivel in the hotel lobby and the two bedrooms where the story of the government minister De Mitri takes place, with his clumsy attempts to entertain extramarital affairs with a female member of the opposition. The situation, however, soon gets out of hand, giving way to a series of misunderstandings, paradoxical situations, squabbles and increasingly intense twists, as in the comedies of Georges Feydeau to which Cooney has often been compared.

The version updated by Iaia Fiastri features Antonio Catania and Gianluca Ramazzotti, with the participation of Paola Quattrini who for the third time plays the role of the wife of the minister De Mitri.

Thanks to the great director Pietro Garinei, the play has been represented all over the world, always with enormous success.
