The composer and pianist Roberta Di Mario presents her latest, exciting work at the Auditorium Parco della Musica: A New Beginning, a musical and theatrical show together, with the piano at the centre, to give life to an artistic project of great emotional impact.
The pianist, in addition to music, brings to the stage an unpublished theatrical text and a monologue dedicated to the public under a large moon as an evocative scenography. With A New Beginning Roberta Di Mario takes up the tradition of classical music on the one hand, and then gradually reaches more contemporary sounds. The mix of classical and avant-garde sounds gives birth to a new, meditative music, creating an atmosphere full of charm.
The artist thus takes us on a real journey into music, deeply evocative and full of references to piano literature, but not only: we therefore find Bach, Mozart and Debussy, Gabriel García Márquez and the sentiment of the duende - that is the creative inspiration - or the fairy tale Peter and the Wolf by Sergej Sergeevich Prokofiev and the world of ancient Greece with the myth of Leda and the swan. And also, reflections on the female condition, on time and on the world we are living in.
Roberta Di Mario is also the artistic director and curator of many music festivals. Graduated from the Arrigo Boito Conservatory of Parma with honorable mention, she is the winner of numerous national and international competitions as well as the author of five albums and several internationally successful songs. It operates in the world of theater, art, cinema and advertising.
