The Roma Tre Orchestra presents two concerts by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart at the Palladium Theater, performed by some of the best Italian musicians of the new generation, such as Leonardo Spinedi (on violin) and Lorenzo Rundo (on viola), conducted by Sieva Borzak.
The Sinfonia Concertante for violin, viola and orchestra in E flat major K. 364 was composed by Mozart in Salzburg in 1779 and belongs to the concert genre in which soloists and orchestra are engaged in a more articulated musical dialogue of a symphonic type. In particular, it is interesting to note the relationship between violin and viola during the three movements: the dialogue between the two string instruments is always balanced starting from the Allegro maestoso to the Andante up to the closing Rondò.
The Symphony No. 40, on the other hand, belongs to the last creative period of the great composer and is among the best known and most admired. Originally considered an example of grace and lightness, today it appears in an introspective and dramatic light. According to the canons of the symphony there are four movements and the scheme: Allegro-Andante-Minuetto-Finale.
