
After the success achieved in its first 2018 edition, LUSO!, the traveling exhibition of Portuguese cinema, is set to arrive in the movie theaters and cultural spaces of over 30 Italian cities with a new interesting film selection.
Rome is the first stop of this “tour” that will cross Italy from north to south in autumn and winter. From 13 to 17 October, the Cinema Farnese Arthouse in Campo de’ Fiori will therefore host 6 films acclaimed in major international festivals, directed by a generation of filmmakers that has not yet reached Italian cinemas, despite the awards obtained all over the world.
The directors presented to the public are Pedro Costa with Vitalina Varela, João Maia with Variações, João Nuno Pinto with Mosquito, Ana Rocha with Listen, winner of the Horizons Award at the 2020 Venice International Film festival, the talented João Nicolau with Technoboss and Catarina Vasconcelos with her award-winning documentary The Metamorphosis of Birds.
All films are in original version with Italian subtitles. The screenings are accompanied by meetings with the authors and insights into Portuguese cinema and culture.
