Following the extraordinary success of previous seasons, the renowned theatrical production returns to the stage of the Teatro Brancaccio from 24 February to 1 March 2026.
La Divina Commedia Opera Musical is the first opera inspired by the masterpiece of the Supreme Poet: a theatrical journey through Hell, Purgatory and Paradise, in which Dante, together with his master Virgil, travels through otherworldly realms, meeting extraordinary characters, among torments, sins, and virtues of human beings, until reaching the Love that moves the sun and other stars.
On stage, an exceptional cast, directed by Andrea Ortis, brings the poet's imagination to life with words, melody and dance, accompanied by amazing stage technology that immerses the audience in Dante's poetic and grandiose universe, in a continuous alternation of majestic sets, immersive 3D projections, music, lighting and breathtaking special effects, created by an exceptional creative team: Gianmario Pagano, together with Andrea Ortis (lyrics), Lara Carissimi (set design), Marco Frisina (music), Massimiliano Volpini (choreography), Francesco Iannotta (sound), Valerio Tiberi (lighting) and Virginio Levrio (video).
Produced by MIC International Company, the opera, awarded Best Musical at the Persephone Awards (2019 and 2020), has received the important patronage of the Dante Alighieri Society, from which it has also been awarded the Gold Medal.
