From 6 October 2026 to 11 April 2027, the Museo di Roma - Palazzo Braschi is hosting a major exhibition dedicated to the famous American artist who, through lines, symbols, and images, created a universal visual language accessible to everyone.

Inspired by 1980s New York – its streets, its music and its people – Keith Haring is still considered one of the most significant figures of the 20th century, whose iconic style – radiant children, barking dogs, dancing figures, angels, hearts, televisions and pyramids – has left a profound mark on contemporary culture and art.

The exhibition is organised around several thematic sections – an opening section linked to Naples, Milan, Pisa and Rome; Street Art & Art in Transit; Political & Social Resonance; Radiant Eros – Celebrate Life; Art Is for Everybody; Symbolic Imagery & Religion – which take the public on a journey through the artist’s universe, from his early works in New York to his final ones.

On display are over 140 works and materials, on loan from the Nakamura Keith Haring Collection and from public and private loans, including the Subway Drawings, the seven panels Untitled (FDR Drive #10-#16), Three AmigosUSA 19-18Untitled (Man with Six Arms), Free South AfricaCrack Down!Safe Sex!, the posters for Lucio Amelio, for the Galleria Salvatore Ala, the Poster for Pisa, those for ACT-UPAIDS Hotline, the Montreux Jazz Festival and Lucky StrikeThe Blueprint Drawings, the UntitledCurling DogLuna Luna, the Mural for the Mount Sinai HospitalGrowing 3Growing 5ApocalypseTotem, PyramidChocolate BuddhaIconsAndy Mouse and Altarpiece: The Life of Christ.
