On 13 and 14 December, the Ippodromo Capannelle hosts Japan Days, returning for an unmissable Christmas edition dedicated to all Japanese culture lovers.
The event, surrounded by the magical Christmas spirit, is an all-round experience into the world of Japan, where you can enjoy its sounds, scents, and typical atmospheres from ancient traditions to colourful pop and hype of nerd and kawaii culture. The programme is rich and ranges from the Market Area with over 100 exhibitors from all over Italy to numerous activities: origami, shodou (the art of calligraphy), ikebana, bonsai, kintsugi and Zen painting workshops, demonstrations and traditional shows such as the tea ceremony, Taiko drums, kimono dressing, martial arts performances, show cooking, tastings, showcases, as well as talks with special guests and book presentations.
In the food and drink area, you can experience a journey through the cuisine of the Land of the Rising Sun: typical matsuri (traditional Japanese festival) street food, ramen & onigiri, home food, Japanese beers, a sake shop with tastings, and a Konbini mini market. Entertainment for everyone with a dedicated kids area, Japanese fishing, vintage video games, cosplay activities, Kapla playground, face painting for children, JPop, and KPop-style entertainment.
