15,000 athletes and as many spectators expected for Global Sport of Fitness Racing
HYROX, the international fitness racing competition that combines running and functional strength training in an exciting format that has already become a global phenomenon, is coming to Rome for the first time.
In pavilions 3 and 4 of Fiera Roma, over 15,000 athletes from all over the world – 5,000 per day – are ready to compete in a course that alternates between 8 kilometres of running and 8 functional exercises.
The format, which originated in Germany in 2017, has already been successfully launched in London, New York, Berlin, Dubai and Singapore, winning over thousands of enthusiasts and establishing itself as the global sport of fitness racing. Among its Italian stops, HYROX has now chosen Rome to open the 2025/26 season, introducing an absolute novelty: a completely outdoor running track.
HYROX's success lies in its formula: accessible to everyone, from beginners to professional athletes, but at the same time extremely challenging because it tests endurance, strength and mental resilience. Every competition is identical and codified worldwide, ensuring a fair confrontation between participants. It is no coincidence that registrations for athletes sold out within a few days of opening.
HYROX has been recognised by Time 100 Most Influential Companies 2024 and is considered one of the most innovative brands in the global fitness scene, not just a competition, but a personal challenge, a global community and a new lifestyle for those who choose to test their limits.
Enthusiasts and curious onlookers can participate for free as spectators.
The programme may be subject to change.
