After the remarkable success of the previous edition, which welcomed over 25,000 students and featured internationally renowned guests such as Domenico Dolce and Giancarlo Giammetti, FORMA returns on 8 and 9 May at the Roma Convention Center La Nuvola for its second edition.
FORMA is an event dedicated to education in the fashion sector, a shared project that brings together the leading academic institutions of Rome and the Regione Lazio to nurture emerging talent and promote the creative arts.
Born from the collaboration between the Assessorato ai Grandi Eventi, Sport, Turismo e Moda di Roma Capitale, the Assessorato allo Sviluppo Economico, Commercio, Artigianato, Industria e Internazionalizzazione della Regione Lazio, and some of the most prestigious fashion and design academies in the area, FORMA stands out as a key reference point on the national stage, positioning itself as a platform for dialogue, exchange and experimentation among students, educators and industry professionals.
Identità contemporanea: l’abito, le community e il riconoscersi (Contemporary Identity: clothing, communities and belonging) is the theme of this edition, a reflection on the role of fashion as a language of identity and a tool for belonging, with a focus on subcultures as spaces for connection, sharing and self-construction.
Throughout the event, La Nuvola will be transformed into a dynamic, multidisciplinary hub, where students from Rome’s leading fashion schools can engage, design and showcase their work, creating an immersive experience that blends education, creativity and innovation.
Among the guests of the 2026 edition: Maria Grazia Chiuri, Creative Director of Fendi; Sofia Balestra; Francesca Ragazzi, Head of Editorial Content at Vogue Italia; Ellen Hodakova Larsson, Swedish designer and founder of the brand Hodakova; and Olivier Theyskens, a designer who has led maisons such as Rochas, Nina Ricci and Theory.
One of the key new features of this edition is the expansion of the event spaces, including the use of the lower level beneath the Auditorium, which will host the Speaker Corner, an area dedicated to talks, presentations and live performances. Further highlights include special appearances on 8 May by Niccolò Filippucci, fresh from his victory at Sanremo Giovani, and on 9 May by artist and actress Lea Gavino.
