The concert at the Casa del Jazz presents original compositions fruit of the collaboration between musicians from Rome, Brussels and Paris, who have four albums produced in Belgium by the "September '" label.
The compositions of Filippo Bianchini and his quartet are inspired both by important names in the history of jazz such as Duke Ellington, Coltrane, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Thelonius Monk, Joe Henderson, Herbie Hancock, Seamus Blake, Brad Mehldau, and by great classical composers such as Carl Maria von Weber, Pëtr Il'ič Tchaikovsky, Maurice Ravel and others.
The style of the quartet is characterized by an expressive research exploring human emotions through a transversal musical language which maintains a strong link with jazz and swing. The result is a music rich in nuances, that leaves room for improvisation, as in the best jazz tradition, and which releases rhythm and energy.
Together with Filippo Bianchini on tenor and soprano saxophone, we remember Nicola Andrioli on piano, Giulio Scianatico on double bass and Armando Luongo on drums.
