From September 3 to 29, 2026, the festival dedicated to the Roman theatrical tradition returns to the Anfitrione Theater.
The project, now in its second edition, involves numerous theatre companies and boasts the artistic direction of Maestro Paolo Gatti, a profound expert on the subject and founder of the historic Petrolini Theater, together with the great actor Fiorenzo Fiorentini.
The festival, which aims to preserve an important cultural heritage, opens at the Anfitrione Theater with nine free events and a final awards ceremony. To find companies of all ages - and rediscover the past and their cultural roots - a special call for applications has been opened for amateur theater groups of high artistic standing.
At the end of the festival, on September 29, 2026, a closing ceremony is planned with the award ceremony and the presentation of certificates of participation to all the companies in the event.
The project, promoted by Rome Capital, won the public tender for the implementation of initiatives of interest to the Capitoline Administration, in collaboration with Zètema Progetto Cultura.
