An event that is returning after a few years' absence and that represents a moment of aggregation, of recovery of cultural and sporting traditions that were being lost over time. On Sunday, 27 November, thanks to the commitment of ASD Giochi di Strada and its president Dora Cirulli, the 'FESTIVAL OF STREET GAMES AT VILLA ADA', an event supported by the Presidency of the Assembly of Roma Capitale, aims to reintroduce, for young and old, all those recreational and sporting activities that our fathers and grandfathers used to practice in the streets of the city not yet squeezed by the grip of cars.
It will be an opportunity for everyone, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in a welcoming location surrounded by greenery, around the Villa Ada lake (entrance in Via Ponte di Salario in front of the Parioli tennis club), to put themselves to the test, to rediscover fascinating and ancient activities, to have fun and try their hand at free disciplines that were popular in the past, but have now largely fallen into oblivion and are only practised in small provincial towns. An open-air day that will ideally unite grandchildren and grandparents who, together, will be able to play and pass on ancient memories.
THE ACTIVITIES
In a village with an old-fashioned flavour, there will be tug-of-war, tug-of-war, cart races, the launch of the "ruzzola", the cheese wheel, table football, skittles, darts, cyclotape, bowls, sack races, giant chess, arm wrestling, tambourine jumping rope, piñata, nizza or lippa, role-playing, spinning top, hoop, indoboard, tennistranier, rollerblade, acrobatic skates, scooter, billiards, treasure hunt, chess, hopscotch, flag-stealing, horseshoes and many other disciplines. Everyone present will be a protagonist.
