For her first solo show in Italy, the young artist Maria Nitulescu has created a site-specific project that dialogues with the spaces of the Museum and reinvents them through three installations made of sounds, colors and scents, giving life to an exhibition that is not just to be looked at but to “live”.
Indeed, the encounter between the artist’s works and the sculptures by Pietro Canonica generates a visual, physical and philosophical experience that leads visitors to question their own perception of reality and time. The introduction of new expressive codes also transforms the museum itself into a total work of art. Crossed by sound, invaded by perfume, irradiated with colored light, the Museum changes its skin and becomes the place of everyone’s soul, transported by the artist to that dimension where rationality ends and the unconscious takes over.
