Now in its second edition, the event promoted by Roma Capitale and the Lazio Region returns to turn the spotlight back on haute couture and the role played by Rome’s fashion academies and tailor’s workshops in a sector that is crucial to the city’s economy.
This year the initiative includes a rich program with appointments spread over four days, characterized by talks with industry experts, showcases and fashion shows by Roman designers and the most creative talents from Rome’s international fashion academies. The event’s venues are the 18th-century Palazzo Braschi, located in the heart of Renaissance and Baroque Rome, between Piazza Navona and Piazza Campo de’ Fiori, and the scenic Piazza del Campidoglio, the protagonist of the two final evenings with special guests.
From July 11 to 12, the Museum of Rome - Palazzo Braschi will host the Ensemble Fashion Talks, eight meetings dedicated to students from Rome’s fashion academies and young designers, with important personalities from the history of Italian and international Haute Couture and the fashion industry, interviewed by industry journalists from the main national newspapers and television stations.
On Saturday 13 July, in the “Grande Soirée dell’Alta Moda Italiana” presented by Eleonora Daniele in Piazza del Campidoglio, eight prestigious sartorial realities, undisputed protagonists in previous kermesses dedicated to Haute Couture, will take to the catwalk at 9 p.m.: the historic maison Gattinoni followed by Camillo Bona, Franco Ciambella, Nino Lettieri, Michele Miglionico, Gianni Molaro, Sabrina Persechino and Gian Paolo Zuccarello. On Sunday 14 July, the stars are the young fashion designers from five Roman Fashion Academies: Aba, Accademia Koefia, Accademia Italiana, Accademia del Lusso and MAM Maiani Accademia Moda, who at 9 p.m. will also present 190 creations made by about 100 students in Piazza del Campidoglio.
