The concert at the Palladium Theater takes up the famous sentence by Friedrich Nietzsche "You need to have chaos inside, to generate a dancing star" and presents a rich and varied program, with the Roma Tre Orchestra conducted by Sieva Borzak and the VIVO Center Dancers of Rome.
The evening includes the famous suite Ma Mère l'Oye by Maurice Ravel in a version for chamber orchestra by Iain Farrington, with choreography by Leonardo Maietto, and the Symphony n.2 in D major op.73 by Johannes Brahms, also in version for chamber orchestra by Farrington. The first, composed of five pieces originally for piano, inspired by Perrault’ fairy tales and other famous authors, is accompanied by a new choreography curated by Leonardo Maietto and his laboratory for VIVO Center Rome, while Symphony No.2 by Johannes Brahms represents a true cornerstone of the great music of the late nineteenth century, when the romantic period is almost at sunset and Mahler's decadent experience is next.
