Visionarea, the art space of the Conciliazione Auditorium, inaugurates the new exhibition year with an unprecedented series of works by the Roman artist Danilo Bucchi, one of the leading Italian names in contemporary art. Since 2018, his work Liquid has become part of the permanent collection of the Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome, but in the last 20 years Bucchi has also exhibited all over the world, in Europe, America and the Far East, he has been guest in 2015 of the Venice Biennale and in 2019 of the historic Pièce Unique gallery in Paris.
After the murals “Il paese dei balocchi” at the MAAM, “Assolo” in Tor Marancia and the solo exhibition Lunar Black at MACRO in Rome, Danilo Bucchi once again confirms his particular relationship with the Eternal City by presenting to the public fourteen new large-format canvases in the exhibition curated by Gianluca Martiani. Dominated by blue, a highly symbolic color, the new works tell the artist’s “liquid universe”. A mineral and boreal blue is engraved on the canvas with meticulous attention: the color flows sinuously against the white background between loops, elastic curves and rivulets, evoking in the final result both the planet seen from the sky and the microcosms invisible to the naked eye.
