Alice in Wonderland returns to the stage at the Ghione Theater with a new, captivating dance production: through the elegance of classical ballet, the beauty of modern and contemporary dance, colors, emotions and pure magic come to life on stage, thanks to the direction of Stefano H. Savoldello, the choreography of Sveva Mattarino and Daniele Toti, and the Double S Dance Studio Company.
The show Alice in Wonderland is based on the 1865 novel of the same name, written by Charles Lutwidge Dodgson under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll. The novel, as is well known, tells the story of a little girl named Alice who falls down a rabbit hole into a fantasy world populated by strange and bizarre anthropomorphic creatures.
With its surreal plot and characters like the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, and the Cheshire Cat, the work stands out by its creative use of language, wordplay, and paradoxical situations that defy logic. All these aspects have made the novel a masterpiece beloved by children and adults alike, which has deeply influenced literature, film, and art, inspiring countless adaptations in a wide variety of artistic fields.
