Ryoji Ikeda presents his latest work Music for Percussion n.2, at the Auditorium Parco della Musica. The Japanese composer and artist, one of the leading exponents of contemporary computer music as well as one of the pioneers of abstract music, continues his path of study and analysis - started with Music for Percussion n.1 - on percussion and the purity of sound produced by them.

In the show, the minimalist composition uses non-musical objects such as keys, metronomes, books, tables, balls, pieces of paper, pencils and rulers that become the protagonists of this search for pure sound.

Ikeda is best known for his generally austere and abstract compositions: to create his music, the artist often uses sounds from digital equipment, such as screeching fax connections, noises from radio sources, signals produced by a computer or Morse codes. and other.
