From exhibitions to permanent collections, from evenings with music and theater to guided tours, and all this without standing in line. Conceived by Roma Capitale with Zètema Progetto Cultura, the MIC Card has revolutionized the way of entering and living museums and this year celebrates its second season with great news.
From 2020 the card targets a larger pool of users. It can be purchased not only by Romans but also by those who live in the Metropolitan City – here the interactive map of the municipalities involved – whether they are residents or university students. A great opportunity, at the cost of a cappuccino and a croissant, to enjoy or discover cultural places whenever you want, to give yourself, perhaps during the weekend, a break under the banner of culture.
By paying 5 euros, you can enter the civic museums of Roma Capitale for 12 months without limit (Musei Capitolini, Centrale Montemartini, Mercati di Traiano, Museo di Roma in Palazzo Braschi and in Trastevere, Museo di Villa Torlonia, Museo dell’Ara Pacis, Civic Museum of Zoology and Municipal Gallery of Modern Art), as well as numerous sites of the Capitoline Superintendence, after checking the entry procedures, with dedicated events and activities.
And if it is still not enough, the MIC has another novelty in store: with the card you are entitled to the reduction for the great exhibitions that will take place during the year at the Museo dell’Ara Pacis, at the Museo di Roma in Palazzo Braschi and in the new Villa Caffarelli exhibition space at the Musei Capitolini, soon to open. Discounts also for the immersive shows “Circo Massimo Experience” and “Viaggi nell'Antica Roma” at the Forum of Caesar and the Forum of Augustus.
