The Science Festival, one of the most important events for the dissemination of scientific culture at an international level, returns to Rome at the Auditorium Parco della Musica, this year in a hybrid mode whereby events in presence are accompanied by remote appointments which is possible to follow in streaming on the Festival website and through its social channels.
The event, now in its 16th edition, represents an opportunity for researchers, enthusiasts, schools and families to meet. This year's theme is dedicated in particular to the role of science in the face of global challenges of both the present and the near future. The reflection is aimed above all at understanding the best way in which we can preserve the future of the Earth and living species, even in the light of the latest pandemic.
Seven thematic areas on which the meetings of this new edition of the Festival are concentrated: Planet. The changing world, Society and economics, Health and medicine, Universe and Space, Technology and innovation, Brain and thought, Nodes of science. The main objective is to give a voice to the most advanced science, bringing together not only the great names of Italian and international research, but also philosophers and historians of science, journalists, economists and experts to reflect on the contributions that science can offer on the subject of energy resources, water, climate crises, biodiversity and the environment. All the changes that have taken place in recent years indeed, place us in front of the urgent need to act in order to ensure the protection of our Planet.
