Cinderella, the classic fairy tale par excellence, lives again in Sergei Prokofiev's ballet at the Olympic Theatre. Created in collaboration with the Accademia Filarmonica Romana, the ballet by the Roma City Ballet Company promises to be an unmissable event for all lovers of classical dance.
The ballet in three acts op. 87, composed by Prokofiev between 1940 and 1944 and based on the fairy tale of the same name, is characterized by a rhythmic and melodic liveliness of the score, a drama that is always contained and veiled in irony. These aspects, together with the well-structured, rich and brilliant orchestration, make Cinderella one of the most expressive and intense works of the great Russian composer and immediately made it very popular. In the version by Luciano Cannito, a choreographer attentive to the narrative structure of the ballet, the story is enriched with spectacularity. 26 performers from the Roma City Ballet Company and 2 guest international étoiles alternate on stage.
