Born as a blues guitarist and directed to jazz by Chick Corea, Frank Gambale rose to fame playing in the great keyboardist’s “Chick Corea Electric Band”. For over forty years at the top of the international jazz circuit thanks to a highly personal and original style, he has thirteen albums to his credit as a leader and another twenty-five with Chick Corea, Vital Information, Steve Smith and many others. Guitarists such as John McLaughlin and Pat Metheney consider him one of the fathers of modern rock fusion guitar.

Winner of a Grammy and two nominations along with Chick Corea, Gambale has also become a guitar legend thanks to his Sweep Picking technique, his trademark, an advanced technique that revolutionized guitar performance and continues to inspire generations of musicians: jazz, rock, metal and prog artists.
