After a preview performance in Milan, the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone is hosting the world premiere of the new creation by independent poet and writer Cristian Ceresoli. It is a moving musical and theatrical work with an extraordinary social impact that turns the horror of war into a hymn to life and freedom, a contagious explosion of music, song and celebration dedicated to those who are tired of war and violence.
Twelve children take to the stage and, between a game of football and the echo of tanks, oppose the squalor of weapons, transforming fear into dance and pain into a celebration that, for a moment, seems to truly change history. It is a joyful and enthralling revolution, a concert that becomes a collective ritual, a poetic and original musical that engages the audience emotionally and physically, in which the words are born to be sung on stage and then sung again in chorus by the audience.
The show (under the High Patronage of the European Union) is sung and played live, in a continuous intertwining of music and fantasy, by a children’s choir (the “Coretto della Gioia”, composed of Vera Bencivelli, Eva Candura, Lara and Nicola Ceresoli, Romeo De Angelis, Olivia and Teresa Monti, Francesca Risoli and Federica Ugolini), and by an international cast of extraordinary performers including Silvia Gallerano, Gianluca Casadei, Fabio Monti and, for the first time, Nicola Ceresoli, who is entrusted with the “Letters from a Child to God”. The musical direction is by Stefano Piro.
