Chiesa di Santa Gemma Galgani

It was built in the 20th century and inaugurated by Cardinal Ugo Poletti on 19 June 1988. On 30 January 1994, it was visited by Pope John Paul II.
The church is a parish seat, erected on 10 September 1975 with the decree of Cardinal Vicar Ugo Poletti Paterna sollicitudine.
Since 23 September 2023, it has been the seat of the cardinal title of the same name.
Externally, the building looks like a low building, composed of a superimposed set of concrete parallelepipeds and cylinders. The facade bears the dedicatory inion: D.O.M. in hon. S. Gemmae Galgani A.D. MCMLXXXVIII. The bell tower, a reinforced concrete structure with three superimposed bells, placed on one side of the building (overlooking Viale Adriatico), with two mosaics and a statue of the titular saint that complete it, is quite special.
The central plan interior features, in addition to the image of the titular saint, two triptychs, one depicting the Ascension of Jesus, and the other his Birth, Baptism and Resurrection.
