Fellini and music

The New Talents Jazz Orchestra, directed by Mario Corvini, presents the Fellini and music, a project at the Casa del Jazz (House of Jazz), conceived and curated by Maurizio Miotti.

The orchestra, made up of 17 musicians, proposes the most famous themes of Fellini's works, reinterpreting the music of films such as La strada (The road), Otto e mezzo (Half past eight), Le Notti di Cabiria (Cabiria’s nights), Amarcord and others in an innovative way.

In fact, music has always played a primary role in the films of this master of cinema, accompanying his poetic narration. For this Fellini has always relied on big names for the music of his films: we remember, among others, the themes written by Nino Rota for his most important masterpieces such as La strada, La dolce vita, Amarcord, or those composed by Louis Bacalov and Nicola Piovani.

The arrangements of the pieces were written by M. Corvini, F. Piana, M. Tiso, M. Miotti, R. Nebbiosi.
