ARF! Il Festival del fumetto 2024

Three days of Stories, Signs & Drawings, a total immersion in comics through exhibitions, meetings-events, international guests, masterclasses with the stars of comics, lectio magistralis with the great masters, big names from the world of Italian and international comics await you at the 10th edition of ARF! Il Festival del Fumetto (ARF! The Comics Festival).

An Area Self is entirely dedicated to independent publishing, an ARFist Alley is the ideal place to meet the excellences of the international scene, Job ARF! is the successful format for the meeting between publishers and aspiring professionals, where you can show your portfolio with ideas, projects and creativity.

Fumetti in bella mostra (Comics on display). Since 2015, ARF! has exhibited thousands of original boards and produced dozens of exhibitions in Italy, including solo, group and anthological exhibitions, recounting the central role of Comics in cultural venues.

The little ones can have fun with the ARF! Kids, the place dedicated to children's imagery - free admission up to 12 years of age - with a rich programme of creative workshops curated by some of Italy's most renowned illustrators, read alouds, drawings, games, and lots of books.

And then, every year, an exceptional line-up for unmissable close encounters between giants of international comics, publishers, independent authors and personalities from the world of Cinema, Music, the Arts and Culture at 360°.

ARF! tells about Comics schools, so don't miss the meetings with the prestigious institutes of Rome: ACCA - Accademia di Comics, Creatività e Arti Visive, IED - Istituto Europeo di Design; RUFA - Rome University of Fine Arts, Scuola Internazionale di Comics and TheSIGN Academy.

Since 2016 ARF! Il Festival del Fumetto has been housed in the cultural pole of the Mattatoio, one of the most important industrial archaeological complexes in Rome, in the centre of Testaccio, the rione-symbol of Rome's creative ferment.

Between History and Street Art, in an absolutely unique location for an event linked to the world of Comics, ARF! also extends to the large spaces of the Campo Boario and the Città dell'Altra Economia (CAE).
