This summer the Roman Houses of Celio are enriched with new guided tours and particularly fascinating and interesting itineraries, offering visitors many ideas to learn about or deepen this extraordinary site: the domus, also known as the home of the martyrs John and Paul, contain in fact over four centuries of history, testifying the passage between paganism and Christianity. Located below the Basilica of Saints John and Paul on the Clivus of Scaurus between the Colosseum and the Circus Maximus, they also are, together with the excavations of the Basilica of San Clemente, one of the most exceptional places in underground Rome, due to the presence of original decorations in the twenty frescoed wonderful underground rooms dating back to between the 1st and 4th centuries and due to the numerous changes to the original structure.
The appointments include evening guided tours to admire the site in the light of the stars, or visits with wine tasting, or even visits-shows to discover the habits of the citizens of ancient Rome and game-visits for families with children.
