The Circus Maximus is one of the most monumental works of Roman engineering, a timeless place with great evocative power that in Rome’s recent history has hosted events of global significance. On 6 July, this evocative location will be the scene of a spectacular concert organised in synergy with the City of Rome and the Department of Major Events, Sport, Tourism and Fashion. To celebrate the tenth anniversary of their album “Il Padrone della Festa”, Niccolò Fabi, Daniele Silvestri and Max Gazzè will return together on stage for a unique live performance.
Begun in Rome back in the early 1990s, the complicity and friendship between the three artists has grown stronger over the years. In 2014, they decided to launch an unprecedented recording project, writing, composing and playing together, demonstrating that, despite years of individual careers, it was possible to make themselves available to each other for the sake of art. Certified double platinum and part of a journey that had engaged them for almost two years in a European tour, the collective record produced ten years ago, their first and only album together, remains as topical as ever for the themes it addresses, with its profound reflection on the environmental and climate crisis and the fragility of the planet.
All the songs from “Il Padrone della Festa” will be on the line-up at the Circus Maximus, in a festive atmosphere that will see the three artists in the company of musicians and friends with whom they have always shared stages and that will make the public feel at the centre of timeless songs. There will also be incursions by one into the songs of the others, including those that have been added in the meantime over these 10 intense and prolific years for all three protagonists, so that they will be able to relive another night as a real band.
