FAR - Architecture Festival 2022

The FAR - Festival of Architecture, organized by the Order of Architects of Rome and its province, with the patronage of the Municipality of Rome and the Lazio Region, this year reaches its fourth edition and presents an exhibition dedicated to urban, social and cultural transformations, to help us understanding how architecture can combine growth, sustainability and sociality.

The Festival, which takes place for nine days, develops between the Esquiline and the Ostiense district; among the places of FAR there are the Schuster Park, located in front of the Basilica of San Paolo, a green area with a triangular shape, between the Via Ostiense, the left bend of the Tiber and the eastern side of the Basilica and the Roman Aquarium, a few steps from Termini Station, in Piazza Manfredo Fanti, since 2003 seat of the Order of Architects PPC of Rome and Province and of the House of Architecture.

The program of the event includes four workshops for the development of specific project themes, four areas of the VIII municipality chosen together with the administration, four work themes related to experimentation on public space and as many Main tutors including Lorenzo Perri and Sabrina Morreale founders by the Lemonot studio, Nasrin Mohiti Asliel of horizontal and Orazio Carpenzano, dean of the Faculty of Architecture of Sapienza, for days full of meetings, discussions and activities at the Casa della Città, adjacent to the areas covered by the workshop.

The goal is to contribute to redesigning the urban fabric and relationships, also through a new phase of territorial renewal, the reconquest of forgotten spaces and the possibility of promoting the wider participation of citizens in the changes taking place, also in view of the great events awaiting the capital in the coming years.

The Festival also benefits from the patronage of the Sapienza University, the Roma Tre University of CONI Lazio and the Italian Paralympic Committee.
