Sergio Cammariere presents his latest album Piano Nudo (Naked Piano) live at the Casa del Jazz, a Parco della Musica Records and Jando Music production.
In this new work, the second in order of time alone on the piano without a voice, the famous Calabrian musician ranges between blues, modern jazz and classical music, alternating melodies and moments of improvisation.
His refined style, of rare expressive intensity, is the result of the encounter between the notes of the great masters of jazz, Latin and South American rhythms and the style of the great Italian songwriting school.
To open the evening is La rotta degli alisei (The route of the trade winds), from which a video clip is taken for the direction of Miriam Rizzo and the photography by Daniele Ciprì, with the participation of Leo Gullotta, followed by Girotondo for Greta, a new animated work by Fabio Teriaca and Juan Pablo Etcheverry. This song, together with Chanson du temps retrouvé and Ritorno a Casa (Return to Home) forms the soundtrack of Fabio Teriaca's film Nonno Matteo (Grandpa Matteo), nominated for the 2021 David di Donatello. We also remember, among the other passages of the evening, Le foto di Carlo (Carlo’s photographs), dedicated to the great actor Carlo Delle Piane who recently passed away, Lampedusa, which speaks of desperate stories of migrants who land on the island and of those who fail to arrive, swallowed from the sea; and then Bar Bogart, the bar run by Cammariere in Florence in the 1980s, Le luci spente del luna park (The turned off lights of the amusement park), Lettera a mia madre (Letter to my mother), L'ultima voce prima del silenzio (The last voice before silence).
