Bosso & Giuliani Connection

The Casa del Jazz, as part of the "Si può fare" Summer festival, hosts  the extraordinary concert of two of the greatest stars of Italian and international jazz, Fabrizio Bosso and Rosario Giuliani.

They perform in a very engaging repertoire, ranging from standards to original compositions, with strong and rhythmic features. It highlights the notes, talent, colour, and personality of the two exceptional jazz musicians.

Bosso is considered one of the best trumpet players worldwide, thanks to his excellent technique, great sense of swing and passion bonding him to the trumpet since the age of five. He boasts numerous collaborations with famous artists, including Stefano Di Battista, Frankie hi-nrg mc, Claudio Baglioni, Paolo Fresu, Mario Biondi, Sergio Cammariere, Bob Mintzer, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Randy Brecker, Renato Zero, Zucchero, and Tiziano Ferro. After the TOP JAZZ as "Best New Talent" in 1999, in 2011, he was named "best trumpeter of the year" by the JazzIt Awards, a recognition that he will later receive several more times.

Giuliani came to prominence in Europe as a true revelation, a "benédiction", according to French critics. He captures the audience with fluid and articulate phrasing, originality and outstanding technical skills. His jazz collaborations are numerous and prestigious: he played with musicians of absolute value, including Charlie Haden, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Phil Woods, Enrico Rava, Franco D'andrea, Martial Solal, Jeff "Tain" Watts, Mark Turner, Joe La Barbera, John Patitucci, Cedar Walton, Stefano Bollani, André Ceccarelli, Daniel Humair, Richard Galliano.

The human and musical encounter between the two artists has lasted for more than twenty years: it was born, in fact, in 2000 with the album "Fast Flight", an experience repeated in 2013 with "The Golden Circle", and returns to show itself through Connections, in which Bosso and Giuliani take the stage, masterfully flanked in a quartet by Alberto Gurrisi on organ and Marco Valeri on drums, champions of the national jazz scene.
