The street art of Miglio d'Arte enters the Touring Club Italiano guide

Miglio d'Arte
desde 25 Noviembre 2019 hasta 31 Marzo 2020

Not only historic center and ancient art: in a suburb of the city, a path of more than a kilometer, without barriers and entrance tickets, aroused the interest of one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions for the promotion of tourism and culture. The new entry of the historic Touring Club Italiano tourist guide is the Miglio d'Arte of Torraccia, with its triumph of writings and colors, of freshness and vivacity that have invaded the bike path close to the Grande Raccordo Anulare.

99 murals by 120 artists explore common themes in as many variations: the safeguard of the environment, nature and sport, friendship, love, and justice transform an anonymous barrier in a surprising open-air contemporary art museum, the longest street art intervention in Europe. All the artists have worked for free, immortalizing feelings, values, and personalities to help bring beauty and splendor in town.

Started in August 2018 and completed in less than a year, the artistic and redevelopment project starts from the call of the “Arte e Città a Colori” association but could count on the contribution of the Retake group, local institutions and even of neighborhood residents and volunteers, in a symbolic embrace that has produced a unique result in many respects.
