The Trionfale market is considered the first Roman neighborhood market. Among the largest in Italy, and even in Europe, it boasts 273 stalls.
Inaugurated at the end of the 19th century, on Viale Giulio Cesare, for years it was a place of transit for hunters and those going out of town. On their way back, they stopped there to make their animals rest.
t the time, all around Rome was the countryside. In the '30s, the market moved to via Andrea Doria, a previously extremely popular neighborhood which, over the years, had turned into an elegant area.
These two souls coexist in a very convenient market, but also a very sought-after one, thanks to its stalls proving fresh fruits and refined goods.
