Luiss Roma - PSA Napoli Est

Founded in 1999, the Luiss Roma men’s basketball team is a unique phenomenon on the Italian basketball scene: it is, in fact, a university team (affiliated with the Guido Carli Free Libera università internazionale degli studi sociali, based in Rome) that combines top-level sport with its players’ academic studies, in line with the “Dual Career” model.

Starting in the lower leagues, the team has climbed the ranks of Italian basketball over the years. In the 2026-2027 season, the team competes in the Serie B Nazionale Old Wild West, the third tier of the Italian men’s basketball league and the second tier at amateur level. The competition, organised by the Lega Nazionale Pallacanestro and run under the auspices of the FIP, guarantees two promotion places to Serie A2 and involves four relegations to Serie B Interregionale.

The Palazzetto dello Sport - PalaTiziano in the Flaminio district hosts the club’s home matches. Here, on Wednesday 11 November the team is facing PSA Napoli Est on matchday eight of the league.
