This year too, the appointment with the magic of the Butterfly House - the tropical greenhouse at the Appia Joy Park - is renewed, offering a journey into the wonders of nature, in an enchanted garden where hundreds of tropical butterflies fly freely among exotic plants, creating a breathtaking display of colour. Strolling through the lush vegetation, you can admire in fact some of the world's most striking butterflies up close.
Biologists and entomologists guide visitors through this lush oasis, offering a unique immersive experience to discover the secrets, curiosities, and surprising adaptive techniques of butterflies. Visitors can witness the entire life cycle of these extraordinary insects, from chrysalis to their first wingspan. In addition to butterflies, the House is also home to other exotic insects, such as stick insects, leaf insects, and giant millipedes.
The Butterflies House is open daily in spring and fall. Every Saturday, Sunday, and holiday, the Butterflies House comes alive with:
