Part of the ATP Masters 1000 circuit and the WTA 1000 circuit, the Internazionali BNL d'Italia is Italy's most relevant men's and women's tennis event. Hosting the 81st edition of the prestigious tournament, which celebrates its 94th anniversary this year, are, as usual, the clay courts of the monumental Complesso del Foro Italico.
Since last year, the competition has undergone a restyling and transformed into a 'mini Slam' to offer, to the hundreds of thousands of fans that crowd the Foro Italico Park every year, an even more intense spectacle in which to admire all the most acclaimed male and female protagonists of the international circuit. The scoreboard, for example, has welcomed almost double the number of male and female players, and the days of competition have increased from eight to twelve as in the Madrid and Shanghai ATP Masters 1000 and as is already the case for the Miami Open and Indian Wells tournaments.
The prize money has also become more substantial for the flagship of our tennis - rising from $62.5 million to $76.4 million - and will continue to increase gradually by 48% by 2025 and in the following years.
Ticketing for the upcoming Internazionali di Tennis BNL d'Italia 2024 is already open.
The programme may undergo changes
