The exhibition Reflected Alphabets. Art and writing beyond borders set up at the Casina delle Civette - Musei di Villa Torlonia, presents 26 works, born from the collaboration of artists from many countries that testify to the search for a common language on engraving art.
The common theme on which the artists worked is the result of a choral work based on writing, where different cultures and different visions were able to confront each other by walking in parallel.
The arabic calligraphy, created by Usama Saad, an Italian-Egyptian artist, was used as a symbolic backdrop that welcomes the works with which artists from Bangladesh, Canada, China, Finland, Iran, Italy, Poland, Tunisia and the USA intervened with own techniques, styles and different alphabets.
The exhibition, created by the Cultural Association Stamperia Ripa 69, curated by Ursula Bonetti and Usama Saad, is accompanied by a series of educational activities dedicated to the different techniques of engraving art, including workshops for children and adults.
