The show of the Tango Rouge Company - Vuelvo al Sur - is on stage at the Teatro Olimpico with the direction and choreography of the Argentine tango masters Neri Piliu and Yanina Quiñones. Fresh from the great international success of the show Noche de Buenos Aires, the two artists present this new show with eleven other dancers to the live notes of the Tango Spleen Orchestra.
Thanks to the orchestra - inspired by the music of the great Carlos Gardel, whose voice was declared a cultural heritage of humanity by Unesco and enriched by the innovative compositions of the famous Argentine maestro Astor Piazzolla - we are transported into the atmospheres fascinating streets of Buenos Aires at the time of Evita Perón, of that Argentina that was able to interpret the authentic spirit of the descamisados, the partisans of Juan Domingo Perón, representing its deepest essence. The masters Neri Piliu and Yanina Quinones, together with their company of dancers, succed in bringing to life all the feeling and passion of this sensual dance from its beginnings to the present day, on the tables of the theater stage, arousing unique emotions in the souls of the spectators.
Born in Argentina and Uruguay as a popular and artistic expression between the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century, tango includes music, dance, text and song; the dance is based on improvisation and is characterized by elegance and passion.
