Pippi Longstocking - The Musical

Pippi Longstocking, the musical born from an idea by Gigi Proietti, returns again this year to the Teatro Olimpico directed by Fabrizio Angelini. The show, with a large cast of actors, singers, dancers-acrobats on stage, tells the story of Pippi, the little girl with red braids, freckles and colored stockings, with her lively, free, rebellious character and intolerant of the rules imposed by society, together with his inseparable adventure companions: the funny polka-dotted horse called Zietto and the bizarre little monkey Nilsson.

Thus, the character born from the pen of the Swedish writer Astrid Lindgren in 1945, loved by generations of children, lives again with all its power to make people daydream and with the value of feelings such as friendship.

With the artistic direction of Nicola Piovani, music by Georg Riedel and Anders Berglund, scenic reworking and costumes by Susanna Proietti, Italian version by Sagitta Alter and Carlotta Proietti.
