A fantastic and fascinating visit in augmented and virtual reality of the largest place of entertainment of ancient times and one of the City’s undisputed landmarks: Circo Maximo Experience reopens to the public, an immersive walking itinerary divided into 8 stops, lasting approximately 40 minutes.
Thanks to special viewers it is thus possible to retrace the history of the Circus Maximus in all its historical phases, from the first and simple wooden construction to the splendor of the imperial age, from the Middle Ages to the early decades of the twentieth century. Visitors will admire the development of the ancient Murcia Valley with its constructions, stroll in the Circus among the shops of the time, witness an exciting race of quadrigas between shouts of incitement and overturning of wagons, and be breathless in front of the imposing Arch of Titus reproduced in full size.
The visit is available in eight languages (Italian, English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Chinese and Japanese) and is also accessible by deaf people, thanks to simplified subtitles in Italian or English, and by people with motor disabilities. In compliance with the anti COVID-19 prevention measures, each visitor is delivered, sanitized and individually wrapped, a sanitized multimedia headset wrapped in a bag; disposable headphones in sealed bags, and a protective shield that will be worn for the whole duration of the visit.
