Thanks to its historic, cultural and institutional heritage, Rome represents a key benchmark for the organisation of major national and international events. These occasions generate significant economic and organisational impacts and require a strong commitment to the management of flows, transport and services.
A hybrid, invitation-only event, not open to the general public, organised in collaboration with Il Messaggero, featuring the participation of institutional representatives, alongside leading voices from the international sectors of fashion, music, sport and the exhibition industry, together with professionals in international communication.
Roma Città dei Grandi Eventi (Rome, City of Major Events) is an opportunity for in-depth discussion on the theme of tourism in Rome, starting from a study focused on citizens’ and stakeholders’ perceptions of major events, and offering an analysis of urban transformations, economic and social impacts, and the city’s potential development trajectories.
The event is part of the Roma Smart Tourism project – Azione 3 “Smart Events”, promoted by Roma Capitale and funded by the Ministero del Turismo, within the framework of the fund supporting municipalities with a cultural, historical, artistic and landscape vocation, whose territories include UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
