With the participation of the dell’Orchestra Popolare Italiana dell’Auditorium della Musica, the Coro Popolare conducted by Anna Rita Colaianni, and with Father Maurizio Botta, Mario Incudine, Antonio Vasta, Eleonora Bordonaro, Elisa Marongiu, and the poet Davide Rondoni.

On 5 and 6 January 2026, exclusively for Natale Auditorium, the Orchestra Popolare Italiana and the Coro Popolare present ChiaraStella, bringing to the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone an original project by Ambrogio Sparagna dedicated to traditional Christmas folk songs rooted in the ancient Franciscan tradition of the Nativity Scene.

A fascinating journey that begins with the celebrated Canticle of the Creatures by Saint Francis of Assisi, one of the highest expressions of popular spirituality, just as the eight-hundredth anniversary of his death is being commemorated. The event offers a selection of sacred songs from Italy’s rich musical heritage, evoking the beauty of Creation and the joy surrounding the birth of the Holy Child Saviour – precious gems of joyful devotion with both mystical and folk character. Thanks to the presence of major interpreters of the Sicilian and Sardinian traditions, such as Mario Incudine, Antonio Vasta, Eleonora Bordonaro, and Elisa Marongiu, particular attention will be devoted to the rich Christmas repertoire of the two islands.

ChiaraStella is not merely a concert, but an experience that blends mysticism, joy, and deep popular devotion. The melodies, true treasures of devotion, recount Christmas through music, immersing the audience in an atmosphere of pure serenity. The Orchestra Popolare Italiana, with its bagpipe soloists, performs pastorals and stirring songs that create a deeply moving atmosphere.

Now in its nineteenth edition, ChiaraStella continues to be an unmissable event, a true popular celebration that involves both adults and children, awakening in everyone that “Holy Joy” typical of Christmas.
