Romics 2025 - 35th Edition

From 2 to 5 October 2025, the great international exhibition dedicated to fans of comics, animation, cinema, and games returns at Fiera Roma.

Born in autumn 2001, Romics reaches its 35th edition with an extraordinary program: four days to carry you away into the fantasy universe with special events, cinema, shows, exhibitions, previews, masterclasses, workshops, meetings with prestigious guests and industry professionals, and guided tours for schools.

Among the most awaited appointments is the Romics Cosplay Award, the spectacular costume challenge between cosplayers from all over Italy, which selects the best cosplay (single, male, female, or couple), the best cosplay group, the best male and female costumes, and the best interpretation. The little ones can dress up as their favourite characters with Cosplay Kids, and also enjoy the many activities - themed workshops, interactive games, and entertainment - in the Kids&Junior Area.

Large space for authors and prestigious Italian and international artists in the Artist Alley, producers of card games, board games, and role-playing games, as well as for self-produced comics, artbooks, and illustrated books in the Self Area.

Spotlight on the most famous Italian and international personalities of the ninth art with the usual Romics Award for Comics. Three Golden Romics awarded: Fabio Civitelli, one of the main illustrators of the “Tex” comic series for over thirty years, Oscar Martín, author of series such as Tom & Jerry, La Gilda, and Solo, and Kevin Pike, renowned film special effects supervisor and screenplay consultant.

Lots of music with the K-pop Contest Italia Special Romics, one of the most eagerly awaited events of the festival, for dancing to the best Korean pop artists' choreography. Many activities await gaming lovers in the dedicated area. Here, you can enjoy video games, digital entertainment, gadgets, events, meet and greets with talents, creators, and YouTubers, as well as exciting new releases and tournaments.

Now in its fourth edition, MUSICOMICS – Romics Music Prize for Images is the contest dedicated to artists who create soundtracks for cinema, television, and video games. It is sponsored by IMAIE and SIAE, with Maestro Vince Tempera participating as Honorary President of the Jury.

Romics also hosts the Peanuts for the first Italian stage of their 75th anniversary celebrations with the great exhibition Happy Birthday, Peanuts! They are also protagonists of the official Romics campaign together with Corto Maltese, Hugo Pratt's adventurous sailor, celebrated - on the thirtieth anniversary of the author's death - with Romics Specials to Martin Quenehen and Bastien Vivès.

Not to be missed is the show scheduled for 4 October featuring the most iconic theme songs ever; Cristina D'Avena, together with Gem Boy, takes you on an exciting musical journey, singing and having fun together.

The special guest of this edition is the renowned artist and cartographer Francesca Baerald, creator of illustrated maps for books, video games, and role-playing games. She is the protagonist of several special meetings and an exhibition dedicated to her work.
