From August 3rd to October 5th, every Sunday afternoon, starting at 5:30 pm, meet at the Ostia Antica Overlook Park, from the river to the sea. Stroll along the tree-lined avenues and along the banks of the Tiber to the discovery of the river's mouth, one of the environmental treasures of the Roman coast. This journey culminates in culture and art, brought together by the Pro Loco Ostia Mare di Roma, which, in collaboration with Zètema, offers a free Sunday program of river trips.
During the trip, you can participate in historical and cultural events and visit traveling exhibitions on the boat, featuring paintings and photographs by local artists that are occasionally on display on board. Art enthusiasts can also meet the artists exhibiting and learn about the expressive techniques used in their works.
The boat excursion, which includes the circumnavigation of Boacciana Island, a stop at the Idroscalo (seaplane base) and a return to the river dock at Ostia Antica (approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes of navigation), features art exhibitions and cultural events explaining both the typical natural environment of the river mouth and the history and archaeology of the coastline.
Near the dock, it's also possible to visit the "Parco dell'Affaccio sul Tevere di Ostia Antica" (Ostia Antica Tiber View Park).
