The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) is an international forum representing the private sector of the travel and tourism industry. It is composed of members of the global business community (CEOs, presidents and managing directors of leading companies in the business) and works with governments and institutions to promote the sustainable growth of the tourism industry and raise public awareness of its economic and social contribution.
For the 2025 edition of its Global Summit, an annual event of international importance, the World Travel & Tourism Council has chosen the city of Rome to mark its return to Europe after six years. In collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and the National Tourism Agency (ENIT) and with the participation of the Municipality of Rome and the Lazio Region, business leaders, high-profile institutional representatives, key players in the tourism industry and strategic stakeholders will meet from 28 to 30 September at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone to reflect on the main challenges and opportunities that are shaping the future of the sector.
With Rome as its exceptional backdrop and an impressive line-up of speakers, the Global Summit confirms its status as the leading annual event for the tourism sector worldwide, a platform that fosters dialogue between the public and private sectors and reaffirms tourism as a fundamental pillar of the global economy. The focus of the 2025 edition will be on digital transformation, regenerative tourism and investment strategies, with insights into the growing role of technology in the development of the sector.
