One of Rome's historic theaters, the ArgentinaTheatre, opens its doors to show its history and hidden beauty, in an itinerary of the most evocative places with the actors of the National Academy of Dramatic Arts "Silvio D'Amico". The event entitled Dramatized Guided Tours of the Teatro Argentina, curated by Claudio Longhi, includes a historical-archaeological introduction of the Sacred Area of Largo Argentina and its urban events.
In the second part, the show features the actresses and actors of the Teatro di Roma - Francesca Astrei, Antonio Bannò, Flavio Francucci, Gloria Gulino, Michele Lisi, Sylvia Milton, Alice Palazzi, Lorenzo Parrotto, Martina Tinnirello, Giulia Trippetta and Diego Valentino Venditti - who in rotation lead us on a traveling show tour from the foyer to the stage, to the basement, reciting excerpts from the great theatrical works of Luigi Pirandello and Gabriele D’Annunzio, from the notebooks of foreign travellers passing through Rome such as Wolfgang von Goethe and Stendhal, from Gioacchino Belli’s sonnets and, last but not least, they will recite Antonio’s funeral oration from William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar in the archaeological area between the Theatre and the Curia of Pompey, the site of Julius Caesar’s assassination.
