From 8 to 11 May the 26th edition of Race for the Cure, the world's largest marathon to fight breast cancer, will be held at the Circus Maximus.
Race for the Cure, Komen Italia's flagship event, takes place under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic of Italy at the Circus Maximus, and, in addition to the traditional 2 km walk and 5 km run open to all, includes a 10 km route reserved for competitive athletes. The Race also takes place in other Italian cities: Bari, Bologna, Brescia, Matera and Naples.
Thanks to this social event, it has been possible over the past 25 years to launch more than 1,500 new research, prevention and support projects for women experiencing breast cancer throughout Italy.
